Life is what happens when you wait for the right time
It's so easy to put things off till later. Procrastination, or as Steven Pressfield would name it, Resistance. I'm living the live I want right now, and it's fucking grand. Live life by design, not default, cuz at least then it's your choice. In Ethics class today we talked of, well... ethics. Heard a lot of different views, but I noticed all of those views are merely a byproduct of our society/culture. It's the same rehashed opinions that people say just to sound cool/good/smart/whatever. Like if MTV tells you yellow socks are in this season, tomorrow you'd see all these people wearing yellow socks. I can accept it if people have different opinions, in fact, I welcome it! But at least be it of your own opinion, having questioned, filtered, and decided on it. Don't just take what you hear somewhere and repeat it without truly understanding the implications of your "views." Well, after all this talk about other views, here are mine: The end justifies the means, except sometimes. There it is. Every situation is different. The world is constantly changing and in flux. It's like wanting to take a snapshot of a movie and define it. To impose some absolute rule about it. But it's not a photo, it's a movie! Hope I didn't lose anyone with the photo/movie analogy, it's the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Everything in nature is constantly changing and evolving. Nothing is static, except for dead things. So what does that tell you? Do not fear change, but embrace it. Yes, change brings the Unknown, and it can be pretty scary, but it can bring good things as well. Don't wait till the right time to change your life. Start today, now, right this second. Make that decision, without doubt or hesitation. Don't hold back, go full blown! If you mess up, so be it, it's part of the journey. But don't go into it half assed, cuz you'll just get your ass handed back to you.
